Kale Chips

I love to be surprised with food and when Carolena served this snack on the weekend, I couldn’t wait to try making them myself. They are delicious and another great way to get more greens in the diet.  Leafy greens are good sources of vitamins and antioxidants that help the body heal and detoxify.

  • Take one bunch of kale and wash and dry leaves.
  • Chop into bite size pieces and toss with about a tablespoon of oil (sesame, olive, canola, grapeseed).
  • Season with some sea salt or other seasoning mix that you like.
  • Arrange on a cookie sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven until crispy but not burnt– about 10 – 15 minutes.  Remove from oven, let cool a few minutes and then serve in a bowl.
